Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Understand functional requirements and collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to translate them into working software.
- Design, develop, test, enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot new and existing software applications.
- Create UML diagrams and technical design documents using software engineering and object-oriented design principles.
- Integrate web application front ends with back-end web services and optimize SQL queries and relational database interactions.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Participate in code reviews, project meetings, status reporting, technical problem resolution, and software engineering process development.
- Collaborate with technical project leads and team members to ensure component designs fit the overall solution.
- Maintain current technical skills, adopt new technologies, and assist with mentoring and training less experienced IT staff.
Requirements
- BS/BA and 6+ years of experience, including 2 years as a subject matter expert in the applicable area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid understanding of UI patterns and experience with PHP, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery, jQWidgets, responsive web design, JSON, and AJAX.
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Experience developing and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Experience with SSH, PuTTY, SSH key authentication, single sign-on, one-time-password two-factor authentication, protected key files, VPN, FTP, FTPS, and SFTP.
- Basic understanding of client-server communications, packets, DNS, load balancers, network segmentation, tagging, and control.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 1/2, and automated code review tools.
- Experience using Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Checkmarx, and an IDE such as Eclipse, NetBeans, or IntelliJ IDEA.
- Working experience with UNIX, Red Hat Linux, shell scripting, and front-end integration with back-end web services.
- Experience leveraging GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor for development, problem-solving, and code review.
- Understanding of SDLC and prior experience working in Agile Scrum teams; familiarity with pharmacy benefit management and pharmaceutical practices is helpful.
- Strong collaboration, communication, prioritization, problem-solving, and ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
