Responsibilities
- Identify, scope, and lead large technical projects that enable core products to scale as performant, reliable, and customizable systems
- Make tradeoffs balancing business priorities, user experience, and sustainable technical foundations
- Build monitoring and alerting systems for the reliability, speed, and integrity of the security data pipeline
- Collaborate with security researchers to deploy scanning techniques and threat detection modules into production
- Lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and engineers
- Set direction for critical technical areas to support rapid company growth
- Mentor engineers and contribute to Vanta’s engineering culture
Requirements
- At least 7 years of full-stack engineering experience, with an emphasis on backend skills
- Experience serving as a technical leader for teams or complex projects
- Experience building user-facing SaaS products, ideally for both startup and enterprise customers
- Startup experience or experience in an environment with a bias for action
- Experience building 0-to-1 products and solving large-scale problems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in learning about security or prior security-industry experience
- Experience with TypeScript and Go is a plus
