Responsibilities
- Lead epics and initiatives, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior engineers.
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable, high-performance SaaS software systems.
- Own system design and feature grooming for a subsystem and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Monitor and debug production systems using logging, metrics, traces, and business-level metrics.
- Maintain code quality through reviews, optimization, testing practices, and software engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers, executives, and other engineering teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and contribute to project planning and execution.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of relevant software development experience, focused on SaaS or cloud-based applications.
- Experience leading or playing key roles in significant software projects and working independently and collaboratively.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and monitoring large-scale, high-availability software systems.
- Experience designing and developing software from a security perspective.
- Experience with observability, third-party components, CI/CD, testing practices, feature or release toggles, contract-first design, and technical documentation.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, distributed data management, event-driven architectures, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Experience designing and operating software on AWS, Azure, or GCP and working with cloud-based data storage.
- Proficiency with Java/Kotlin, Python, or C#, software engineering principles, RESTful APIs, HTTP/HTTPS, and API documentation.
- Knowledge of server management, network configurations, software architecture, design patterns, and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, adaptability, and continuous-improvement skills.
