Base Salary
$190k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own major feature areas end-to-end across iOS and Android, including technical design, implementation, testing, rollout, and iteration.
- Lead new mobile features and product improvements while aligning partners on scope, tradeoffs, and timelines.
- Build and enhance real-time audio capture and processing across platforms for high-quality recordings and accurate transcription.
- Optimize mobile performance, reliability, battery usage, and latency for real-time AI-powered experiences.
- Design AI-powered mobile interactions, including chat experiences for exploring and acting on meeting reports and insights.
- Partner with product, design, and ML teams to develop conversational AI user experiences.
- Evolve mobile architecture, state management, and shared engineering standards.
- Establish best practices for code quality, testing, release hygiene, observability, and performance profiling.
- Implement security, privacy, data handling, and offline-first capabilities for reliable cross-device experiences.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, and code reviews.
- Help define hiring expectations, participate in interviews, and raise the mobile team’s technical bar.
Requirements
- 8+ years of development experience.
- Strong experience building and shipping production mobile applications on iOS and/or Android using Swift/SwiftUI and/or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose.
- Ability to own complex features end-to-end, including technical design, execution, rollout, and iteration.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, state management, and maintainable UI at scale.
- Experience with real-time audio capture and processing using AVFoundation and/or Android audio APIs.
- Familiarity with background execution, offline storage, and reliable cross-device data synchronization.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and event-driven backends.
- Strong product instincts focused on fast, intuitive, and reliable customer experiences.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Real-time audio processing or speech-to-text experience is a plus.
- Backend experience with Python, FastAPI, or Node.js is a plus.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery is a plus.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
- Startup or fast-growing company experience is a plus.
