Base Salary
$168k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and operate high-throughput data pipelines for telemetry from more than 25 million network devices.
- Build and maintain scalable distributed systems for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
- Deploy and maintain containerized workloads on production Kubernetes clusters.
- Establish observability standards using ELK and Grafana to identify issues and improve recovery.
- Collaborate across product and engineering teams to deliver dependable data products and operational insights.
- Integrate AI-assisted engineering tools while maintaining standards for security, validation, and design quality.
Requirements
- Production experience building, operating, or debugging distributed systems or backend services processing at least 1TB of telemetry data daily.
- Production programming experience with Scala, C++, or Java.
- Experience designing and managing streaming or batch data pipelines using Kafka, Spark, Flink, or similar frameworks.
- Production experience deploying and maintaining containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Elasticsearch, or Grafana for infrastructure automation and monitoring.
- Familiarity with network telemetry, networking protocols, or large fleet-management systems is preferred.
- Experience with SQL, distributed data stores, or cloud-native services in production is preferred.
- Open-source contributions, personal systems projects, or other evidence of technical curiosity are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic, organized approach to software quality, testing, and operational ownership are preferred.
Benefits
- Starting salary range is $167,700.00 to $245,200.00, with additional location-specific ranges listed for certain U.S. states and regions.
