
Sr Software Engineer

- Own the enterprise connector catalog, integration standards, security gates, and onboarding playbooks for MCP servers.
- Build platform integration infrastructure including authentication, connector health monitoring, lifecycle tooling, and business-system connectors.
- Serve as the senior technical contact for domain teams building MCP servers and ensure designs meet production-readiness and security standards.
- Own and improve the AI Artifact Hub and develop knowledge ingestion pipelines, agents, skills, and automation workflows.
- Design fine-grained access controls and DLP enforcement for AI agents accessing enterprise data.
- Build cost controls, circuit breakers, fallback handling, evaluation frameworks, automated ground-truth test suites, feedback-loop APIs, and stack-wide observability.
- Mentor engineers, participate in design and code reviews, collaborate on architecture with the Principal Engineer, and work directly with AWS technical teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience, or an alternative combination such as a master’s degree with 2 years, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year, or 16 years of related experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience designing, building, and operating production systems.
- Strong Python proficiency for APIs, data pipelines, and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, IAM, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and Step Functions or similar services.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms, including OAuth 2.0 and OIDC authentication flows.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of distributed systems concepts including fault tolerance, idempotency, eventual consistency, and graceful degradation.
- Experience designing and enforcing authorization policies in multi-tenant or multi-user systems, including row-level security or ABAC.
- Preferred experience includes AI/ML systems, RAG, knowledge retrieval, agent architectures, Amazon Bedrock, MCP, Snowflake, knowledge graphs, embeddings, vector stores, enterprise search, evaluation frameworks, cloud cost optimization, DLP, event-driven architectures, workflow engines, developer platforms, or inherited-codebase modernization.
