Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java applications for Equity Finance Trading and real-time trading requirements.
- Work with traders and global technologists to deliver business solutions through iterative software development.
- Analyze complex business and system processes, define issues, and implement innovative solutions.
- Establish and apply standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
- Ensure application designs align with the overall architecture and integrate appropriately with infrastructure and business processes.
- Build containerized solutions that can scale horizontally and support application resiliency.
- Assess and manage technology, regulatory, and operational risks while escalating control issues transparently.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant Applications Development experience.
- Strong Java expertise and experience with Kafka, distributed caching, SQL, and Git.
- Experience building event-based systems with real-time trading requirements.
- Experience in Equity Finance or Securities Lending; Prime Services knowledge is a plus.
- Comprehensive experience across the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile delivery.
- Experience performing QA and applying TDD and BDD practices.
- Experience building containerized, horizontally scalable solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple activities, changing priorities, pressure, and collaboration across global teams and time zones.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, interpersonal, management, and prioritization skills.
- React and full-stack development experience and exposure to AI solutions are beneficial.
