Responsibilities
- Drive the technical design of major agentic-first subsystems, including service architecture, data models, and agent/tool integrations.
- Lead major initiatives from ambiguous requirements through technical design, multi-team execution, rollout, and long-term operability.
- Define evaluations, test harnesses, guardrails, observability, and review workflows for agent-generated code.
- Establish internal practices, tooling, playbooks, and rituals for agentic software development and train senior engineers.
- Own performance, reliability, and security requirements, including defenses against software supply chain threats.
- Partner with Product, Security Research, UX, and Support leaders to translate customer needs into shippable technical plans.
- Mentor senior engineers, conduct design reviews, shape the technical roadmap, and help set the engineering hiring bar.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Track record of leading multi-quarter technical initiatives spanning multiple teams or services.
- Hands-on experience designing, running, and scaling long-running multi-agent systems in production.
- Experience with agent orchestration, MCP tooling, shared context and memory, agent handoffs, and evaluation harnesses.
- Strong experience with Java, AWS, Azure, or GCP, and large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with performance tuning, data-intensive services, and production operability at scale.
- Working knowledge of software supply chain security, including SBOM formats, software composition analysis, provenance, signing, vulnerability analysis, and package ecosystem attack patterns.
- Experience defining or leading agentic engineering practices, internal rollouts, publications, open-source work, or similar contributions.
- Ability to make independent product decisions and drive scope, trade-offs, and sequencing.
