Responsibilities

  • Provision Azure resources including VMs, AKS, Container Apps, App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage, Key Vault, and managed identities.
  • Author, test, review, version, and maintain reusable Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules with CI validation.
  • Build, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure DevOps YAML pipelines, reusable templates, build and release stages, approvals, quality gates, and deployment flows.
  • Manage secure deployment integrations including service connections, federated credentials, managed identities, Key Vault-backed secrets, artifact feeds, and container registries.
  • Scaffold and manage landing-zone structures including subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC assignments, tagging, Azure Policy, and environment alignment.
  • Integrate workloads with shared network services such as private endpoints, VNet integration, DNS registration, firewall dependencies, and connectivity validation.
  • Maintain governance, environment parity, policy compliance, cost tagging, quota management, runbooks, and operational readiness.
  • Support DevSecOps controls including SAST, dependency scanning, infrastructure validation, branch policies, pull-request checks, and deployment evidence.
  • Monitor cloud resource health, cost, and compliance; contribute to dashboards, alerting baselines, incident troubleshooting, and cost optimization.
  • Provide production support, incident triage, root-cause analysis, service restoration, and post-incident documentation.
  • Deliver or improve a Clarus workload CI/CD pipeline, infrastructure-as-code updates, and a support runbook during the first 90 days.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps Engineering with hands-on Azure provisioning and operational support.
  • Proven experience authoring, testing, reviewing, and maintaining Terraform modules in a team environment with CI validation.
  • Strong Azure DevOps and YAML pipeline experience, including reusable templates, approvals, quality gates, and release troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Azure resource hierarchy, management groups, subscriptions, resource groups, Azure RBAC, Azure Policy, and tagging standards.
  • Hands-on experience with App Service, AKS, Container Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage, and Key Vault.
  • Experience with private endpoints, VNet integration, DNS, firewall dependencies, and PaaS workload validation.
  • Experience with service connections, managed identities, service principals, Key Vault integration, branch policies, and least-privilege access.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, Site24x7, or equivalent enterprise tools.
  • Experience configuring alerts, dashboards, and service health monitoring for infrastructure, applications, CI/CD pipelines, and platform services.
  • Production incident response and troubleshooting experience across Azure resources, networking, identity services, container platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with application, platform, security, networking, vendor, and operations teams.
  • Preferred: experience with Azure DevOps agent pools, variable groups, environments, approvals, artifacts, package feeds, release gates, and pipeline libraries.
  • Preferred: familiarity with GitHub Advanced Security or similar tools for SAST, dependency scanning, secret scanning, and pull-request enforcement.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Azure Landing Zone or Calandra-style patterns, policy-as-code, subscription vending, and workload governance.
  • Preferred: AZ-104, AZ-204, or AZ-400 certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: experience with Azure Cost Management and FinOps practices in multi-subscription environments.
