Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scalable and performant software solutions.
- Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders to develop and execute technical roadmaps.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and conduct thorough pull request reviews.
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data ingestion systems.
- Build applications incorporating AI SDK access and foundational models.
- Address performance, data quality, security, and infrastructure considerations for large-scale data processing and analysis.
Requirements
- BS/BTech or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience as an engineer performing backend or data engineering development on a cross-functional team.
- At least 3 years of experience working with SQL or another database querying language on large, multi-table datasets.
- At least 3 years of experience acting as a trusted technical decision-maker in a team setting.
- At least 3 years of experience coaching other engineers.
- Preferred experience with health-tech systems, electronic health records, and clinical data.
- Preferred experience designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Preferred knowledge of large datasets, data storage technologies, database systems, and performance optimization for data systems and infrastructure.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, security, sensitive data, cloud platforms, AI SDKs, prompt engineering, tool calling, MCP development, vector databases, RAG, AI system design, and foundational models.
- Preferred experience with statistical data techniques including causal inference, syntactic analysis, sampling methods, and NLP.
