Base Salary
$90k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and prototype autonomy software and algorithms for autonomous systems.
- Develop and evaluate autonomy software from conceptualization through implementation, including sensor selection, software development, and data analysis.
- Design, develop, and test sensor fusion, guidance, navigation, and control algorithms.
- Develop and test code in simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop environments.
- Participate in field tests of autonomy software on vehicles and other systems.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, prototype, and test autonomous systems.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance is required.
- At least 5 years of autonomy, guidance, navigation, and/or controls experience is required.
- Experience developing real-world solutions under computational constraints, measurement errors, and modeling uncertainty.
- Experience developing algorithms and simulations for testing and validation.
- Expertise in positioning, navigation, and timing, particularly for aircraft.
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical/aerospace engineering, electrical engineering with a control or signal processing focus, or an equivalent degree/major; a master's degree is preferred.
- Experience with sensor fusion, including Kalman filtering and multiple sensing modalities.
- Experience designing and integrating autonomy hardware such as sensors and flight controllers.
- Experience with C++ and Python and software design best practices.
- Experience with sensor modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
- Experience developing and deploying ML models using open-source tools such as PyTorch and ONNX.
- Experience on complex multidisciplinary R&D programs is ideal; ability to lead a small multidisciplinary team is a plus.
