Base Salary
$118k - $173k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and execute quality strategy, test frameworks, and deployment gates across multiple teams.
- Build and maintain Java and JUnit integration test suites and integrate them into Jenkins pipelines.
- Develop Python tools and SQL queries to compare datasets, parse logs and JSON payloads, and identify pipeline data issues.
- Implement REST API tests covering delayed and asynchronous processing states.
- Collaborate with backend engineering teams to create permanent automated checks and communicate defect priorities and root causes.
Requirements
- Require 8+ years of professional experience in backend, integration, and data QA or SDET roles.
- Require hands-on SQL data validation and experience converting manual checks into automated tests.
- Require Python tooling experience for JSON parsing, log analysis, data comparison, and failure reporting.
- Require RESTful API testing experience, including multi-step systems with delayed or asynchronous data delivery.
- Require Java and JUnit automation experience plus Jenkins or comparable CI/CD test scheduling experience.
- Require experience debugging cloud infrastructure with AWS services and cloud system logs.
- Require experience defining release criteria and pass/fail deployment gates.
- Preferred qualifications include analytics or observability testing, contract or schema validation, Apache Kafka or secondary-cloud testing, Selenium or Playwright, Cucumber with JUnit, and AI-assisted coding tools.
