Base Salary
$122k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel calibration algorithms for sensors and displays.
- Design and prototype calibration automation with mechanical engineers and prototyping technicians.
- Collaborate with engineering and research teams across computer vision, machine learning, graphics, optics, camera hardware, and manufacturing.
- Define projects and provide technical direction for other engineers.
- Contribute to code quality, AI-assisted engineering, and technical culture.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience; the degree must be completed before joining.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and designing computer vision and perception algorithms for robotics technologies and systems.
- Experience developing in C++ or Python.
- Prototyping and engineering experience in computer vision or robotic perception areas such as camera calibration, online calibration, state estimation, sensor fusion, 3D reconstruction, camera pose estimation, or structure-from-motion.
- Practical experience applying AI or generative models, including coding assistants, agentic tooling, automated QA, image and video generation, or AI-assisted annotation and labeling.
- Experience with computer graphics or rendering pipelines, including real-time or offline rendering, ray tracing, shaders, physically based rendering, or 3D scene and asset authoring.
- Experience using synthetic data to train and evaluate perception models.
- Experience building, training, and evaluating machine learning models, including data recipes, training and evaluation splits, experiments, model architecture, and hyperparameters.
- Experience managing the model-training data lifecycle at scale, including sourcing, curation, annotation and QA, augmentation, dataset versioning, and domain-gap analysis.
- Preferred: M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: industry experience with generative models, sensor fusion, 3D reconstruction, camera pose estimation, or structure-from-motion.
Benefits
- Annual base salary of $121,992 to $181,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
