Base Salary
$200k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop network observability and network anomaly capabilities for ArcOS and ArcIQ.
- Write feature specifications covering requirements and detailed design, and implement features individually or collaboratively.
- Triage and resolve internal and customer-reported issues.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party libraries.
- Review feature specifications, code, test plans, and other engineering documents.
- Improve the performance and scalability of existing features and solutions.
- Help interview, onboard, and mentor new hires.
- Work with customer and product teams to understand new requirements.
- Plan, schedule, track, and report project status through customer delivery.
- Drive engineering-wide initiatives for product quality and scalability.
- Participate in architecture and design for new engineering initiatives.
- Consider and pursue patent filings for product innovations.
- Contribute to industry engagement through papers, blogs, talks, and standards delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent degree.
- 10+ years of relevant hands-on development experience.
- Ability to write high-quality C, C++, Go, Python, or Rust code.
- Experience with Linux OS internals, kernels, memory management, and network stacks.
- Experience with Debian build, packaging, installation, or upgrade frameworks.
- Experience with TCP/IP and routing.
- Experience with messaging systems and datastores such as etcd, Consul, or Redis.
- Experience with high availability and ISSU.
- Experience with containers, virtual machines, and orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes or KVM.
- Prior experience at an operator, startup, or venture-backed company is a plus.
