Responsibilities
- Influence the team roadmap and pursue individual career objectives
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical alerting systems with ownership of reliability, performance, and availability
- Drive projects from initial ideation through operations and customer feedback
- Build and scale distributed systems for alert ingestion, delivery, and evaluation
- Participate in on-call rotations and own the services operated by the team
- Contribute to Grafana and other open-source projects
- Mentor teammates and participate in design discussions
Requirements
- Solid experience with at least one programming language, especially Go or comparable experience with Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar languages
- Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering and ideation through shipping to customers
- Experience developing software that runs in the cloud or experience with systems engineering
- Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a fully remote environment
- Customer focus, pragmatism, collaboration, and a bias toward action
