Base Salary
$183k - $295k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead exploration and prototyping of new product concepts at the intersection of feature flags and observability.
- Provide observability domain expertise and thought leadership to shape Guardian’s product direction.
- Architect and advance observability products with product, design, data science, and engineering partners.
- Identify and implement forward-looking improvements in development tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Use data insights and feedback to lead product and user experience improvements that balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production-quality full-stack features.
- Experience with observability systems, statistical analysis pipelines, and event-based metrics infrastructure.
- Strong architectural understanding of data platforms, backend services, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Experience leading 0-to-1 product development from exploration and proof of concept through validated direction.
- Deep familiarity with APM, distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry, and error tracking.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and define what to build as well as how to build it.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
