Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables within technical domains.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy applications and technology solutions.
- Develop Java services, business-layer components, RESTful web services, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Build client-side UI components using Angular or React and implement UI/backend enhancements, bug fixes, and service integrations.
- Design and develop MVC RESTful services using Java and Spring Boot with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
- Participate in the end-to-end product and application development lifecycle, including complex requirements analysis and technical specification design.
- Provide coding direction, guidance, and mentoring to junior team members and act as an escalation point.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance, cloud-native solutions.
- Apply test automation, Agile, DevOps, and cloud delivery practices to improve system resiliency and scalability.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Proficiency developing web-based applications across UI and server technologies.
- Experience with Angular or React, Spring Framework, JDBC, and JavaBeans.
- Experience developing Java services and RESTful microservices using Spring Boot and MVC.
- Experience with Spring, EJBs, REST APIs, Oracle or SQL Server databases, and object-oriented design and development.
- Strong knowledge of JUnit or TestNG, Selenium, and test automation.
- Experience designing microservices, event-driven architectures, and cross-platform consumption patterns for high availability and scalability.
- Experience with Autosys or similar orchestration tools, Object Storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as OpenShift or PCF, Agile software development, DevOps practices, and cloud solutions.
- Experience with Java and Python and the ability to develop highly complex original code.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements, write technical specifications, lead initiatives, resolve technical challenges, and guide less experienced staff.
