Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered capabilities for the CORI robotic surgery platform.
- Apply machine learning, generative AI, computer vision, and data-driven techniques to improve product functionality and user experience.
- Develop software services, APIs, and workflows integrating AI capabilities into products and engineering applications.
- Prototype, evaluate, deploy, and continuously improve AI solutions.
- Implement and support AI-assisted development tools including Cursor, GitLab Duo, and Copilot.
- Build automation and tooling for code quality, testing, documentation, traceability, and software development workflows.
- Collaborate on software architecture, system integration, code reviews, and CI/CD initiatives across robotic software and cloud-based systems.
- Ensure AI-enabled solutions meet cybersecurity, privacy, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strong Python and/or C++ programming skills and experience developing production-quality software applications.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, machine learning, large language models, AI agents, or related technologies.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and modern software engineering practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with Azure OpenAI, cloud AI platforms, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, robotics, healthcare technologies, or regulated software environments.
