Base Salary

$123k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver scalable full-stack software solutions using Java and Python.
  • Lead the architecture and implementation of distributed systems for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Own feature delivery from design and development through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
  • Build RESTful APIs, microservices, service integrations, and event-driven systems with backward-compatible contracts.
  • Improve coding standards, testing, CI/CD pipelines, developer productivity, and engineering practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
  • Design for scalability, resilience, and observability, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Identify bottlenecks, debug complex issues, and drive root-cause analysis and long-term fixes.
  • Contribute to containerization, infrastructure as code, auto-scaling, and cloud-native adoption.
  • Influence technical direction and collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise and working knowledge of Python.
  • Deep experience with Java ecosystems and frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
  • Full-stack development experience with backend services and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Strong experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, service-to-service integrations, distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools, messaging and streaming platforms, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience generating test data and developing and executing unit tests.
  • Experience with API design standards, OpenAPI/Swagger, versioning, contract-driven development, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Preferred understanding of AI/ML concepts and generative AI technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
  • Proficiency in Agile/Scrum and modern software development lifecycle practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • U.S. employment eligibility is required because the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
