Staff Android Engineer
Capital OneResponsibilities
- Own technical design, architecture, and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle as part of a dynamic mobile team.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across the full stack of development tools and technologies.
- Improve software engineering practices and contribute expertise on the impact of evolving technology on the domain.
- Mentor junior, intermediate, and senior mobile associates.
- Provide guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of hands-on development experience with native Android applications using Java or Kotlin.
- At least 6 years of experience in application and/or data design, architecture, and development.
- Experience with RxJava, Coroutines, Dagger, Espresso, JUnit, Jenkins, and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience mentoring junior and intermediate associates and providing guidance to technical and business stakeholders.
- Preferred: 8+ years leading the full software development life cycle.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: Exposure to AWS or other cloud products.
- Preferred: Experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
