Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable cloud infrastructure, platform services, and distributed systems for reliability, availability, performance, and efficiency at 10X scale.
- Create system architecture artifacts and provide recommendations for machine types, networks, deployments, cloud services, and infrastructure choices.
- Build self-service code and end-to-end application and infrastructure deployment automation.
- Develop roadmaps and technical vision for scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services targeting 99.999% availability.
- Design, build, operate, and optimize highly available public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Automate infrastructure and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native technologies.
- Analyze production deployments and optimize performance, continuous integration, monitoring, testing, and operational processes.
- Provide technical leadership and influence across multiple engineering teams while collaborating with customers, stakeholders, and lead engineers.
- Improve cloud infrastructure usage, operations, services, security, role management, CDN, domains, and network efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering.
- Experience leading large-scale system design and architecture initiatives using AWS and/or Azure cloud services.
- Experience building, automating, and operating infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code practices in Linux-based environments.
- Experience designing, building, and operating highly available, scalable, and high-performance distributed cloud systems.
- Experience architecting, building, and managing enterprise-scale hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Python, and/or Go for application and infrastructure deployment automation.
- Experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, platform operations, automation, observability, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, cloud service integrations, enterprise architecture, scalability, and availability.
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams with strong verbal, written, stakeholder communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- AWS professional-level certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and/or AWS Certified Developer Professional, are preferred.
