Base Salary
$140k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and automated suites for Android applications, REST APIs, and Clover SDK integration layers.
- Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks and test scripts using UIAutomator, Espresso, Java, and Python for a custom robot automation lab.
- Diagnose and debug failures across hardware, operating systems, SDKs, APIs, and network protocols.
- Configure and optimize Jenkins pipelines for regression testing, smoke testing, and release gating.
- Partner with development, product, and hardware teams to define requirements, identify coverage gaps, and improve testability.
- File and manage defects in Jira, conduct root-cause and post-mortem analyses, and prevent regression leakage.
- Provide technical direction, mentorship, and code review support to distributed quality and development teams.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or software development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Hands-on experience developing and extending test automation frameworks in Java, Python, or C#.
- Proficiency testing Android OS, including adb debugging, logcat analysis, Android Studio, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Jenkins pipelines, Bash shell scripting, and Git.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, MySQL, Linux/Unix environments, SSH, log extraction, and backend validation.
- Ability to independently prioritize complex tasks, troubleshoot intricate systems, and deliver reliable results.
- Preferred experience with UIAutomator, Espresso, or Appium; POS hardware, payment flows, terminal SDKs, or EMV/PCI architectures; WebSockets, REST, USB, Bluetooth, or cloud bridges; and Groovy, Ruby, or JavaScript.
