Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Establish design-system architecture and foundations across Figma and code, including primitives, tokens, components, patterns, and user flows.
- Build reusable production-ready frontend components with complete states, interactions, motion, and accessibility support.
- Keep Figma, production code, and Storybook aligned as the system evolves.
- Define and enforce standards for consistency, accessibility, quality, and maintainability.
- Create AI tooling, skills, documentation, and rules that help EPD teams build with the design system.
- Partner with designers, product managers, and engineers to address complex workflows and edge cases.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building production frontend design systems for multiple mobile and web product surfaces.
- Strong frontend engineering skills with modern web technologies, component-based architecture, and the ability to work in a large established codebase.
- Deep experience with component libraries, design-token pipelines, Storybook, visual regression, and Figma workflows or plugins.
- Strong UI and UX judgment, accessibility fundamentals, communication skills, and senior-level judgment in ambiguous environments.
- Experience standing up or consolidating design systems and aligning Figma libraries with production code.
- Practical experience using AI to ship prototypes, components, and design-system work, including building AI-usable documentation and rules.
- A body of work demonstrating shipped impact across production UI, component systems, prototypes, and system documentation.
- Experience with two-sided marketplaces or healthcare, operations-heavy, or other high-stakes domains is preferred.
