Base Salary
$164k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management, Product Design, Data Science, and iOS, Android, and web client engineers to develop consumer product architecture.
- Own the full software lifecycle for major initiatives, including technical design, API contracts, development, testing, rollout, and observability.
- Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments using behavioral, funnel, retention, and performance metrics.
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and distributed backend services optimized for client consumption and consumer UI performance.
- Improve engineering practices and developer workflows while mentoring teammates and using AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on backend development experience building and operating large-scale distributed serving systems in high-concurrency environments.
- Proficiency in one or more front-end-focused languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, or ES6.
- Experience with a front-end web framework such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular, along with CSS.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, design experiments, use performance metrics, navigate ambiguity, and drive alignment.
- A user-centric mindset, strong communication skills, and experience working in fully remote or hybrid team environments are required or expected.
