Responsibilities
- Develop code using Java, Spring, and NoSQL technologies.
- Solve technical problems using current technologies and best practices.
- Evaluate alternative solutions and explain the advantages of the selected approach.
- Ensure technical designs are correctly incorporated into implementations.
- Contribute technical expertise across projects.
- Build and support microservices, systems integrations, event-based messaging, and high-volume real-time data streaming.
- Perform capacity planning, systems performance analysis, and optimization for distributed client/server environments.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of Java/J2EE development experience.
- At least 5 years of design experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, web services, SOAP, and/or REST.
- Experience with Java 8 or Java 11; Spring WebFlux and reactive programming experience is strongly preferred.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience building microservices with REST and SOAP/XML.
- At least 5 years of experience with database technologies including NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra, along with DML, DDL, and query optimization.
- At least 5 years of systems integration experience, including event-based messaging and high-volume real-time data streaming with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Microsoft Azure is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with in-memory datastores or caches such as Redis or MemCache is strongly preferred.
- Significant software development lifecycle and software development methodology experience.
- Significant experience in capacity planning, systems performance analysis, optimization in distributed client/server environments, and resilient active/active architectures is strongly preferred.
- Strong analysis, design, and programming skills.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
