Base Salary
$140k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-team delivery across applications, services, APIs, data, and integrations.
- Translate ambiguous product and business needs into technical strategies, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Set architecture, document tradeoffs, and align teams on scalable and secure patterns.
- Write and review tested code using TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Go, or similar languages across the stack.
- Design APIs, domain models, microservices, workflows, data contracts, and third-party integrations.
- Improve reliability and performance through observability, capacity planning, graceful degradation, recovery patterns, and operational readiness.
- Lead incident response and root-cause analysis while driving preventative improvements.
- Mentor engineers through reviews, pairing, documentation, and hands-on coaching.
- Improve engineering effectiveness through reusable patterns, automated tests, developer tooling, and secure use of AI-assisted tools.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of related experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience delivering complex production software and leading technical direction across teams or domains.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, Python, Go, or similar languages, with frontend and/or backend experience.
- Advanced system design knowledge covering domain-driven design, microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, data stores, and integrations.
- Strong discipline in testing, error handling, observability, performance, security, and maintainable delivery.
- Ability to influence without authority, communicate architecture clearly, mentor engineers, manage dependencies, and drive measurable outcomes.
- Experience with Agile iterative delivery and improving team practices through feedback and continuous learning.
- Preferred experience in SaaS, fintech, digital banking, payments, or regulated technology environments.
- Preferred experience with ReactJS, NestJS, GraphQL, financial-data or identity integrations, cloud platforms, containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, or event-driven architecture.
