Base Salary
$194k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve architectural constraints in the existing search system framework.
- Design and implement advanced systems solutions to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
- Develop user-centric products for Coupang’s search and discovery ecosystem.
- Scale and optimize mission-critical services for a consistently strong customer experience.
- Partner with Product Managers and Designers to deliver unified user experiences.
- Create consumer-facing mobile solutions using expert-level engineering skills.
- Manage high-availability API platforms and resolve scaling, latency, and performance challenges in high-traffic environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in distributed systems, systems programming, and backend engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with core algorithms, system architecture, and large-scale distributed systems.
- 5+ years of coding proficiency in Java, Go, or other programming languages.
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Proven experience managing high-availability API platforms and resolving complex scaling, latency, and performance problems.
- React Web experience is a significant advantage.
- Strong communication, product intuition, autonomy, resilience, and ability to solve complex ambiguous problems are preferred.
