Base Salary
$143k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze and diagnose system faults and errors involving perception, planner, and other autonomous-driving software from on-road tests and simulations.
- Categorize and prioritize issues based on severity, urgency, and potential impact on safety and performance.
- Identify system-failure trends and propose preventative measures to improve safety and robustness.
- Produce clear reports documenting system issues, troubleshooting steps, and root-cause analyses.
- Develop tools and workflows to improve the quality and quantity of triage.
- Collaborate with engineering, software, and testing teams while managing changing priorities and multiple tasks.
- Provide reports and insights to leadership on overall quality and engineering decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in systems troubleshooting and diagnostics, preferably in the automotive or embedded systems industry.
- Experience using Python or a similar language for automation, programming, and scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to root-cause analysis.
- Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and safety.
