Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for complex software engineering problems.
- Establish technical standards and influence Amazon’s technical architecture, engineering practices, and methodologies.
- Build high-quality, scalable, architecturally sound systems aligned with business needs.
- Produce detailed technical work and high-level architectural designs.
- Contribute to architecture and design decisions involving reliability, scaling, and design patterns.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- 8+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java or C++.
- 8+ years contributing to the architecture and design of new and existing systems, including architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Preferred: knowledge of professional software engineering practices and the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
