Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable cloud-native applications and platform services.
- Design and develop distributed, event-driven backend systems using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Confluent Kafka.
- Design secure, resilient, high-performing backend services and enterprise APIs.
- Lead architecture reviews, design discussions, code reviews, technical investigations, proof-of-concepts, and technical decision-making.
- Lead complex engineering initiatives from design through production deployment and platform modernization.
- Evaluate and adopt technologies, frameworks, and cloud capabilities to improve engineering outcomes.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence, ownership, innovation, security, automation, and operational excellence.
- Produce and review architecture, design, implementation, and operational documentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Architecture, DevOps, Quality, and Program Management teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- More than 10 years of work experience in software development.
- Deep expertise in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Confluent Kafka, and AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience designing and building highly available, cloud-native SaaS or enterprise platforms.
- Experience with platform engineering, multi-tenant architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and modern CI/CD practices.
- Exposure to AI-assisted software development, developer productivity tools, or GenAI technologies is preferred.
- Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries is preferred.
