Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and performance testing.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and release validation testing.
- Develop automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber.
- Conduct API testing and automation with Rest Assured and Postman.
- Implement performance and load testing using Gatling or Karate.
- Integrate automation suites into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and write customized workflow YAML files.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Track and manage defects in Jira with end-to-end QA ownership.
- Use ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and Claude to accelerate test development and code generation.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to improve software quality, reliability, and security.
- Maintain and develop code using advanced Java and Java EE expertise.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Test Automation, QA Engineering, or SDET roles.
- Strong Core Java programming skills and understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with Selenium, TestNG, and Cucumber-based test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on API testing experience with Rest Assured and Postman.
- Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting.
- Experience integrating automation suites into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines and writing GitHub Actions YAML files.
- Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle and Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, query writing, and JDBC.
- Experience with Jira or comparable test management and defect-tracking tools.
- Preferred experience with Gatling, Karate, Sauce Labs, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Visual Studio Code, Node.js, Spring Boot, Temporal, N8N, DevOps practices, REST APIs, and AI/GenAI automation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous-learning abilities.
