Responsibilities
- Analyze product requirements, technical designs, and storage protocol specifications.
- Create validation strategies covering functional, negative, integration, stress, recovery, and regression scenarios.
- Develop, review, and maintain Python-based automated validation solutions using AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Validate storage features, software enhancements, and bug fixes on physical storage devices.
- Execute sanity, functional, integration, performance, and regression test campaigns.
- Analyze logs, reproduce failures, and isolate issues across test frameworks, host software, firmware, operating systems, and device layers.
- Report defects with reproduction steps, logs, configurations, and technical findings.
- Verify fixes and provide evidence-based quality sign-off.
- Contribute qualified tests to automated sanity and regression suites.
- Improve test automation, diagnostics, reliability, and engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with globally distributed software, firmware, validation, and release teams.
- Use AI-assisted tools for test design, coding, debugging, data analysis, and documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering, validation, system testing, quality assurance, or test automation.
- Strong Python programming skills with hands-on experience developing automated test solutions.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, defect lifecycle management, and quality engineering practices.
- Experience working in Linux and Windows environments.
- Working knowledge of Git and GitHub development workflows.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development, testing, debugging, or engineering productivity tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with SSDs, flash storage, firmware, drivers, embedded systems, or system software.
- Preferred knowledge of NVMe, SCSI, or ATA storage protocols.
- Preferred experience with Python test frameworks, log analysis, data-driven testing, large-scale automation environments, and test infrastructure development.
- Working knowledge of C or C++ is preferred.
- Preferred familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Agile, Scrum, and Continuous Integration workflows.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of validation activities, drive tasks to completion, and make data-driven decisions.
