Base Salary
$120k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Apply computer vision, LLM, and multimodal AI techniques to construction documents and other real-world data.
- Rapidly prototype models and improve them using user feedback and production data.
- Build and deploy reliable end-to-end AI systems for noisy, heterogeneous inputs.
- Own modeling, data pipelines, and inference infrastructure for the intelligence layer.
- Collaborate with product teams and users to identify and prioritize high-impact problems.
- Handle practical startup engineering work including data labeling, ETL, and deployment.
- Communicate progress, tradeoffs, and results clearly across the team.
Requirements
- Production experience applying computer vision and/or multimodal AI to messy real-world data such as documents, images, or mixed modalities.
- Experience launching an AI system into production or building the core of a new product from scratch.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and modern computer vision or multimodal model tooling and techniques.
- Ability to iterate quickly from user feedback and improve prototypes with production data.
- Strong, honest, empathetic, and transparent communication skills.
- Willingness to handle the full spectrum of early-stage startup engineering work.
- Must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate and must have US work authorization.
- Experience shipping products to real users or paying customers is preferred.
- Construction, AEC, or related industry knowledge is preferred.
- Early-stage startup or founding-team experience is preferred.
- Recent graduates with strong production ML portfolios are welcome.
