Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Define cloud reference architectures, patterns, and best practices.
- Lead solution design for cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
- Evaluate cloud services and recommend optimal designs for performance, security, and cost.
- Architect and support application and data migrations to the cloud.
- Guide modernization initiatives including re-hosting, re-platforming, and re-architecting.
- Design solutions leveraging cloud-native services such as containers and serverless.
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Design for high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency.
- Partner with security teams on identity, access management, and data protection.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designs.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and delivery planning.
- Communicate architecture decisions, trade-offs, and roadmaps to technical and executive audiences.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or solution architecture.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience architecting solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and platform services.
- Experience with application architecture, integration patterns, and APIs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Preferred: Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Preferred: Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Preferred: Knowledge of data platforms, analytics, or integration middleware.
- Preferred: Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent).
