Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own reliability, observability, and operational performance for live trading systems during market hours.
- Monitor production systems, respond to incidents, and work with researchers and engineers to resolve trading, risk, and stability issues.
- Build internal tools, dashboards, alerts, and automation for live trading operations.
- Design and maintain testing, deployment, rollout, rollback, health-check, failover, and operational-control processes.
- Develop tools for market microstructure research and collaborate with quantitative researchers on feature generation and analysis.
- Develop, test, deploy, support, and upgrade production systems while assisting end users.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of industry experience solving challenging problems through coding with measurable impact.
- Strong software development skills in Python and/or C++ for efficient, modular, and reliable systems.
- Strong Linux production engineering skills, including troubleshooting, scripting, monitoring, and operating real-time systems.
- Ability to reason through quantitative problems and communicate with quantitative researchers and engineers.
- Reliable availability and responsiveness during trading hours when needed.
- More than 2 years working with industrial-grade codebases using compiled languages such as C++ is advantageous.
- Experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, or Grafana is advantageous.
- Familiarity with high-performance computing and distributed large-scale systems is a plus.
- Strong learning ability, intellectual curiosity, versatility, originality, and pragmatic judgment.
