Senior Java Developer - Emerging Lead
State StreetResponsibilities
- Analyze, design, and develop integration-services solutions for enterprise applications.
- Develop Java-based web applications and integration solutions using coding best practices and non-functional considerations.
- Work with APIs, messaging, file transfer, transmission protocols, business process management tools, and industry-standard or proprietary formats.
- Participate in major technical upgrades and large technical initiatives.
- Manage tasks across and outside agile teams while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Understand user needs, recommend optimized solutions, identify risks, and drive issue resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 3 years of experience developing enterprise web applications in Java, Spring Boot, or Python.
- Experience with Angular and/or React.js and Node.js.
- Experience with one or more of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, gRPC, Avro, or WebSocket.
- Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including technologies such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with unit-testing frameworks such as JUnit or Pytest.
- Experience with build frameworks such as Maven, Gradle, Poetry, PDM, or Pipenv.
- Experience working in agile teams.
- Preferred experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or OpenShift.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps, or CI/CD.
- Preferred experience with IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Preferred experience with SFTP, FTP, Samba, or MFT file-transfer technologies.
- Preferred working knowledge of Copilot, Devin, or another AI code-assistant tool.
