Responsibilities
- Own the largest and most technically difficult enterprise deployments.
- Work directly with customers to understand their operational workflows and deployment needs.
- Build integrations, workflows, internal tooling, and product capabilities required to launch customers in production.
- Travel onsite to customer offices when in-person collaboration accelerates problem solving.
- Work across voice, SMS, email, chat, APIs, data, LLMs, and workflow orchestration.
- Debug deployment blockers, including issues outside Frontdesk’s systems.
- Turn recurring customer-specific solutions into scalable product, infrastructure, and deployment primitives.
- Collaborate with founders and engineering on product priorities.
- Define enterprise AI deployment practices, hire the Forward Deployed Engineering team, build playbooks, and eventually lead the organization.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience and willingness to take broad ownership.
- Enjoyment of direct customer interaction and solving real operational problems.
- Ability to work across the stack and learn whatever is needed for a deployment.
- Strong product intuition and ability to generalize solutions into reusable capabilities.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments without an established playbook.
- Ability to move quickly and take personal ownership of outcomes.
- Interest in owning complete customer problems rather than a narrow system component.
- Founder-oriented mindset and interest in building a new function from zero.
