Base Salary
$190k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Help architect and build DailyPay’s unified ML platform for model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design and implement scalable ML pipelines for training, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure for machine learning workloads with attention to cost, security, and availability.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML models and related infrastructure.
- Design monitoring and alerting systems for ML infrastructure and models and proactively resolve production issues.
- Lead technical design discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, establish engineering norms, and remove blockers.
- Mentor junior engineers and share machine learning infrastructure expertise.
- Identify code vulnerabilities and ensure ML pipelines handle sensitive data according to company policy.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver production ML solutions.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in machine learning engineering, MLOps, or data engineering.
- Strong proficiency with AWS or equivalent GCP or Azure cloud platforms and their machine learning, compute, storage, and orchestration services.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions or an equivalent tool.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data pipeline tooling such as dbt, Glue, or Snowflake.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across data science, engineering, and product teams.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design is preferred.
- Experience in fintech or regulated industries and contributions to open-source ML or MLOps projects are preferred.
