Responsibilities
- Translate business goals and user needs into product opportunities, value hypotheses, and actionable scope.
- Prototype solutions to validate ideas before committing to full implementation.
- Write and review technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assess feasibility and build-versus-integrate trade-offs based on delivery impact, risk, and value.
- Review, test, and validate deliverables against requirements and manage defect triage.
- Identify technical debt and systemic risks before they become delivery blockers.
- Maintain accurate system documentation and knowledge-base content.
- Use and critically evaluate AI-generated software artifacts and guide responsible AI usage within the team.
- Maintain a prioritized, well-scoped product backlog.
- Collaborate with software engineers during implementation and translate between technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in development and testing.
- Ability to move from problem statement to working prototype quickly.
- Experience writing precise technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Quality assurance experience, including test design, validation, and defect triage.
- Experience working directly with clients or external counterparties.
- Knowledge of financial instruments, particularly repos, derivatives, or related collateral and securities products.
- Ability to run demonstrations, gather business requirements, and translate workflows into system behavior.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and frame engineering decisions in terms of user and business value.
- Effective communication with technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Professional experience using AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Claude, or equivalent and critically evaluating their output.
- Understanding of AI limitations relevant to software delivery, including hallucinations, context loss, and security blind spots.
- Fluency in Scrum ceremonies, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
- Strong documentation habits and a collaborative working style.
