Responsibilities
- Develop scalable microservices in Java 17+ using object-oriented SOLID principles, design patterns, and Spring Boot.
- Select and use appropriate persistence mechanisms, including relational and NoSQL databases, based on business needs.
- Implement coding best practices and program-defined code-quality gates.
- Conduct proofs of concept and support online, real-time systems development.
- Coordinate with Mastercard teams to ensure project success.
- Collaborate effectively in an Agile environment.
- Follow Mastercard security policies, protect information confidentiality and integrity, report suspected breaches, and complete mandatory security training.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong object-oriented programming skills and knowledge of product development.
- Experience developing online or real-time systems.
- Experience with event-driven architecture is an advantage.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Cloud-based development experience is desirable.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot and Claude Code is desirable.
- Strong communication, analytical, learning, and problem-solving abilities.
