Base Salary
$99k - $116k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support batch and online COBOL programs on IBM z/OS.
- Manage code promotion across development, QA, and production environments using Endevor.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate mainframe compiles, deployments, and testing.
- Integrate Endevor with Git and DevOps toolchains, including scripting with Shell, Python, or REXX.
- Build and maintain JCL, PROCs, and job-scheduling dependencies.
- Troubleshoot production abends and performance issues.
- Support UAT, implementation planning, release governance, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of COBOL development experience on IBM z/OS.
- Hands-on Endevor experience with elements, packages, processors, promotion, and approvals.
- Mainframe CI/CD experience using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Git version-control experience and Endevor integration experience, such as Endevor Bridge for Git.
- Experience with Zowe CLI/APIs and Shell, Python, or REXX scripting.
- Strong JCL, TSO/ISPF, and VSAM skills.
- Experience with DB2 embedded SQL and/or IMS DB, plus CICS for online processing.
- Experience with debugging tools such as Abend-AID, Xpediter, or File-AID.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience with Topaz for Total Test, zUnit, SonarQube, Code Pipeline, Control-M, CA-7, Autosys, Ansible, containerization, Agile and ServiceNow-based change processes, and insurance or financial-services domains.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
- Salary range is $99,000 to $116,000 depending on skills and qualifications.
