Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain user interfaces for embedded point-of-sale software.
- Implement industry standard protocols for product capabilities.
- Create and execute application unit tests as part of Continuous Integration.
- Analyze bug reports and manage the defect resolution process.
- Collaborate with QA staff to ensure appropriate test cases are executed.
- Perform code reviews to ensure high quality designs and implementation.
- Work closely with hardware counterparts on product design.
- Proactively solve problems and work independently or within a team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- 2+ years working with embedded, mobile, or connected devices.
- Proficiency in embedded programming language C.
- Experience with automated testing and build systems.
- Knowledge of operating systems and hardware-software interfaces.
- Experience architecting multithreaded applications in embedded systems.
- Familiarity with common communications protocols like SPI, UART, and USB.
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
