Base Salary
$262k - $364k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the roadmap of audio features for Pixel devices with senior leadership, product management, and research teams.
- Implement audio experiences and features across codebases from embedded systems through high-level operating-system applications.
- Lead multi-year engineering efforts across sub-component teams while owning strategy, architectural improvements, and delivery methodologies.
- Design architectures that operate within constrained compute environments while balancing power, performance, latency, and user experience.
- Drive accountability for Pixel Audio quality and refine products to deliver polished user experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 7 years of full-stack development experience from embedded systems to high-level applications using C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
- At least 5 years of experience with software design and architecture, including testing and launching software products.
- Experience with audio technologies such as audio systems, audio features, or audio research.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 20 years of experience delivering consumer electronics products, feature roadmaps, or audio technologies.
- Preferred: experience with cross-organizational collaboration, partnerships, validation strategies, systemic improvements, audio quality, performance tuning, and market delivery.
