Responsibilities
- Participate in full software development processes using Python, including requirements, design, implementation, and quality activities.
- Create software designs and provide guidance on engineering best practices within the team.
- Develop moderately complex software solutions in collaboration with senior team members.
- Develop and execute unit, integration, and system test plans.
- Conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards, identify defects, and promote best practices.
- Support DevOps with software deployment and monitor performance and quality metrics.
- Diagnose and resolve software defects by analyzing logs, reproducing issues, and implementing fixes.
- Create and maintain system architecture diagrams, API specifications, and user guides.
- Coach new joiners and contribute technical leadership within the local lab or product team.
- Apply analytical judgment to resolve medium-complexity requests and keep current with software engineering technologies and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology, or vocational education in Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of experience in software development, software design and architecture, testing and quality assurance, or equivalent.
- Experience with Python, Linux, AWS, Ansible, MongoDB, GitHub Actions, Git, shell scripts, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience in an AWS environment.
- Ability to perform code reviews, software testing, defect diagnosis, technical documentation, and software design.
- Gen AI prompting experience is listed among the relevant skills.
