Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain moderately complex automated test scripts and test cases.
- Identify, document, track, and help resolve software defects using defect tracking tools.
- Analyze requirements and collaborate with software engineering and cross-functional teams to understand application functionality and testing needs.
- Maintain test scripts as applications receive updates and enhancements.
- Document test cases, results, and defects clearly and concisely.
- Provide guidance to associate automation quality engineers.
- Perform manual testing when needed and recommend automation best practices.
Requirements
- Requires 2-4 years of overall testing experience, including 1-2 years of automation testing experience or equivalent automation training.
- Requires proficiency in core Java programming concepts.
- Requires experience with requirements analysis, automation testing tools such as Selenium, Karate, JUnit, and TestNG, and debugging.
- Requires experience with version control systems such as Git and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Requires familiarity with SQL, database testing, UI/API functional testing, and JIRA or ZE management tools.
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, design and estimation skills, and strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies are desired.
