Responsibilities
- Implement and support improvements that increase efficiency, software quality, and delivery speed.
- Share responsibility across development and operations with a unified customer and user focus.
- Support applications, platforms, and products within the Application Support team.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
- Manage containerized environments, Kubernetes orchestration, and Helm package management.
- Use Terraform and GitOps practices for infrastructure and deployment automation.
- Support Java development teams and work across multiple database ecosystems, architectures, and integrations.
- Maintain monitoring practices to support system reliability and performance.
- Manage database schema changes, including through Liquibase.
- Translate business requirements into technical implementations and facilitate business knowledge as a subject matter expert.
- Manage and influence stakeholders to ensure services operate effectively.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role.
- Strong knowledge of AWS and practical experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Terraform, Argo CD, Kubernetes, Kafka, and KOWL.
- Experience working with Java development teams.
- Experience with multiple database ecosystems, architecture, and integration.
- Experience with monitoring tools for system reliability and performance.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes container orchestration and Helm package management.
- Proficiency maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
- Experience with database schema change management, such as Liquibase.
- Understanding of GitOps principles and a mindset focused on automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and best practices.
- Strong stakeholder communication, negotiation, influencing, and business-requirements translation skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to attain UK Security Clearance.
