Software Engineer II - Java, Spring Boot, Oracle
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and troubleshoot secure, stable, and scalable software components.
- Write high-quality secure code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Use authorized AI coding-assistance tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation while validating outputs.
- Analyze upstream and downstream system impacts and technical implications.
- Apply SDLC tools, automation capabilities, and software engineering processes.
- Troubleshoot basic-complexity technical problems and contribute to solutions.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify problems and support application-development decisions.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least two years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-query languages.
- Hands-on experience with authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies, application resiliency, security, and CI/CD practices.
- Preferred: full-stack Java enterprise application development experience.
- Preferred: strong SDLC delivery experience in agile environments.
- Preferred: at least two years of Java 17+ experience.
- Preferred: experience developing microservices and deploying them through AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, AWS Elastic Container Service, and EC2.
- Preferred: experience writing Terraform scripts and deploying in AWS production environments.
- Preferred: experience with at least one relational database management system.
