Base Salary
$104k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects using MongoDB.
- Advise customers on architecture patterns, optimization strategies, deployments, and the business value of MongoDB.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline generation, technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and support customer success and satisfaction.
- Relay field feedback to the product team and mentor other Solutions Consulting team members.
- Maintain ongoing product and industry knowledge through training and professional development.
Requirements
- Ideally 8–11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, including 5–7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting or programming languages such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable and highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures with customers and recommending technology improvements.
- Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal, and technical-business translation skills.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and coordinate internal and ecosystem resources on account plans.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred qualifications include database sales or application deployment experience with major cloud providers, database programming and data modeling, data engineering or AI/ML projects, legacy modernization, sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message, MongoDB Certification, and cloud provider certification.
