Responsibilities
- Design fit-for-purpose Cloudflare solutions that maximize customer business value.
- Act as the technical customer advocate throughout the customer relationship and adoption roadmap.
- Support the technical sale of Cloudflare’s solution portfolio and help customers choose Cloudflare solutions over competitors.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Support, and other Cloudflare teams to create scalable customer solutions.
- Travel to customer offices, conferences, and/or talks as needed.
Requirements
- Business fluency in German is desirable.
- Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize competing demands.
- Understanding of Internet fundamentals including TCP, UDP, authoritative and recursive DNS, firewalls, TLS/SSL, and HTTP.
- Ability to understand customer buying decisions and explain return on investment.
- Passion for technology and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Previous pre-sales Solutions Engineering or consulting experience is a bonus.
- Demonstrated scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, or Bash is a bonus.
- Experience building or meaningfully contributing to a web application is a bonus.
- Understanding of CSRF, XSS, SQL injection, and Cloudflare’s role in defending against them is a bonus.
- Understanding of or experience with PCI DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2 is a bonus.
- Exposure to SASE and Zero Trust is a bonus.
- Candidates may need authorization to access technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without sponsorship for an export license.
