Responsibilities

  • Build and ship agentic systems and internal AI engineering tooling.
  • Design agent orchestration, tool and API integrations, memory and context handling, prompts, workflows, evaluation harnesses, and safety guardrails.
  • Develop scalable AI and machine learning systems and implement models in production.
  • Build training pipelines and deployment frameworks, and conduct hyperparameter tuning and validation.
  • Monitor model and agent performance, manage versioning, troubleshoot systems, and maintain operational stability.
  • Partner with data scientists to productionize proofs of concept and work with engineering teams to deliver them.
  • Lead smaller projects and contribute specialized technical knowledge as an experienced individual contributor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on experience building production or near-production agentic systems, including frameworks, tool and API integration, multi-step workflows, evaluation, and guardrails.
  • Practical experience with Generative AI and LLMs, including prompt design, RAG patterns, and model selection and evaluation.
  • Experience partnering with data scientists or researchers to productionize proofs of concept and deliver them with engineering partners.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL and solid software engineering fundamentals in testing, version control, packaging, and code review.
  • Experience building and consuming APIs, integrating platforms and third-party services, deploying applications or models to production, and supporting them operationally.
  • Experience with CI/CD and build tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Artifactory.
  • Working knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, model lifecycles, hyperparameter tuning, and validation.
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, or comparable distributed data processing environments and cloud environments.
  • Preferred: experience with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, Model Context Protocol, agent evaluation and observability, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, MLflow, Comet, Weights and Biases, Docker, Kubernetes, SDKs, or internal developer platforms.
  • Preferred: familiarity with responsible AI, data governance, and sensitive data handling.
